Hartford City Banking Center Manager Ashley Laurence is an example of what can happen when talent, hard work, drive, and opportunity come together. She joined Citizens State Bank as a teller in 2015 because she wanted to have more stable hours than her retail career could offer. She quickly worked her way through the ranks as a Personal Banker, Operations Manager, Assistant Banking Center Manager, finally accepting her current position as a Banking Center Manager in 2018.
Ashley lives our mission of helping our clients, co-workers, and communities succeed each and every day. Born and raised in Hartford City, she’s involved with a number of local organizations, including area food pantries, the Chamber of Commerce, the Blackford County school system, and youth sports. As important as these causes are to her, her favorite activity is working as a Certified Pound Pro Instructor at the Hartford City Health Club. She teaches six classes a week, and loves uplifting and empowering her Tribe, though she believes she receives as much motivation and inspiration from the classes as the women who attend.
In her personal life, Ashley is just as inspirational as in her public life. When she isn’t working or volunteering, you’re likely to find her at the ball diamonds with her son. Before joining the bank, she was a store manager for Victoria’s Secret, and has taken a number of Business Management classes at Indiana Business College.
