Citizens State Bank Announces Scholarship Winner
NEW CASTLE, IN, June 12, 2024: Citizens State Bank is pleased to announce the winner of the 2024 Citizens State Bank Community Scholarship is Ms. Baeli Renie, a recent graduate of Knightstown Community High School and the New Castle Career Center Cosmetology Program, with both Academic and Technical Honors.

Baeli stood out in a field of outstanding applicants, for her achievements both in and out of the classroom. She started taking high school classes while in the eighth grade and has attended summer school every year of high school. She graduated with both Academic and Technical Honors while participating on the cheer team, Pep Band/Marching Band/Concert Band/Jazz Band, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Academic Team, Student Council Vice President, Class Ambassador, French Club, History Club, Art Club, 4-H, Center Christian Church Youth Group, and Bring Change 2 Mind.
She has earned her Bronze and Silver stars in Girl Scouts and is working to complete her Gold Star. The third of nine children, Baeli has prioritized helping others. She's volunteered with Kids Club at Sunset Park; the Million Meals Movement through NBA Rising Stars; both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts; participated and volunteered with 4-H; assisted with multiple Community Vacation Bible School programs; mentored children; volunteered to help teachers before and after school; worked at concession stand fundraisers, volunteered to clean community streets, and more.
Ms. Renie plans to major in psychology and minor in biology as she pursues a career as a Clinical Psychologist specializing in caring for those with special needs. We wish her the best as she follows her dreams, and we're honored to play even a small role that might contribute to her future success.
